Introduction
The text used in the Showcase section is an edited transcript and audio
record of a conversation between Vanley Burke and George Hallett recorded
at the British Council in London in March 2001. Also present were Pete
James, Head of Photography, Birmingham Central Library, Dr Sue Wright,
University of Birmingham and Nick Wadham-Smith of the British Council.
